I’ve taken two trips to Sardinia, which is rare for me. I usually don’t like to go back to a place – but this island has grown close to my heart. It’s rugged as hell, the trails are amazing, the food and hospitality are heard to beat.
The first trip was on my 701 and is documented in “Sardinia and the Death of Lenore” and my second trip was in 2024 on Boris, as Poe was still being restored. This was one of the first trips I’ve done in company, with Jeroen on his 690 along for the ride. He drove down to me, we trailered up the bikes and went down to Genoa to get the ferry.
It was a more social trip than usual, on the first night we met Roberto – an absolute hero on an old Africa Twin. Later in the trip we met Bautista on his Max Max steel armoured Honda NX650. Rarely do I have quite so much company on the trails!
I won’t go into much detail in this post, but we were on the island in the glorious bloom of spring and I felt that the pictures deserved to find their way online and into posterity.
